Having arrived in the UK with vast experience outside the UK and all your qualifications obtained from non-UK universities; make it very difficult and strenuous to apply for any positions in the UK!

Irrespective of all electronic means and printed media, you tend to stay an intruder and doesnt even get the opportunity to put your case!

That is the situation I found myself in towards the middle of 2007. As a registered professional engineer with more than 25 years technical and managerial experience holding a Highly Skilled Migrant Visa from the Home Office, I was getting disillusioned of finding any position that would justify my qualifications and experience. My detail was posted on various websites, but I did not get any positive enquiries.

At this time Elle Tyler from Redstone Associates Ltd approached me, this was the start of a very positive relationship.

Although we did not meet personally, Elle took a very keen interest in my situation, and did not stop finding a position for me until she came in touch with Balfour Beatty Management. Elle was in constant contact with me, keeping me up to date with progress and pushing the client for response, and more important got me to believe in myself.

If this is the way that Redstone Associates operates, I am keen to promote their services. I never had the feeling that I was not Elle's top priority and I thank Elle and Redstone Associates for that.

I have since been appointed at Balfour Beatty Management, took up my position and I am convinced that I will have a wonderful career within the organisation. They value my experience and qualifications, and I am sure that within the next few years I will have a truly acceptable UK list of experience.
